A few months ago, we had the privilege of taking on an exciting challenge: designing and building an industrial engineering model for Intrame, a leading company in the manufacture of asphalt plants. From the outset, we knew this project would require the best from our team, as The model had to accurately and realistically reflect all the details of a functional asphalt plant.

With a scale of 1:200 and approximate dimensions of 1125 x 1000 mm, this industrial model It was conceived as a fundamental visual tool for the exhibition and presentation of projects. From the smallest details to the theming of the environment, every element was crafted with dedication, ensuring that we captured the essence of Intrame's facilities.

Design and construction development

To bring this industrial engineering model to life, we began with a meticulous design phase. Our team worked closely with the provided documentation, including blueprints, photographs, and conceptual models, to ensure every detail was accurate. Based on this information, we developed the floor plans and 3D models which served as the basis for the construction.

Realism and resilience

One of the most challenging aspects was to make the main machinery of the asphalt plant look realistic and durable at the same time. To achieve this, we used a combination of high-quality materials, such as cast methacrylate, foamed PVC, and polymer resins. Each material was carefully chosen, taking into account its durability and ability to reproduce textures and complex forms.

Durable materials

In addition, we wanted the model to faithfully represent the environment where this plant is located. We use materials from specialist brands such as Preiser, Busch and Woodland Scenics to accurately recreate elements such as vegetation, paths and other details that provide a realistic context. The theming of the environment not only enriches the visual impact, but also helps to convey a more complete vision of the industrial project.

Technical features and finishes

One of the strengths of this model was its level of technical detail and the realistic finishes we were able to implement. Working at a scale of 1:200, it was crucial to ensure that every element, however small, maintained the proportion and visual quality that the client expected.. The final dimensions, approximately 1125 x 1000 mm, allowed for the inclusion not only of the asphalt plant, but also of the elements of its surroundings in a coherent and attractive manner.

Textures and effects

The metal parts of the machinery were treated to simulate the shine and properties of the real materials., Using layered painting and finishing techniques, the non-metallic surfaces were also carefully treated to convey realism and durability, essential elements in this type of industrial model.

Building materials

The materials used, such as cast methacrylate and polymer resins, allowed us to achieve a balance between precision and durability. This ensures that the model is not only visually striking, but also able to withstand the test of time and the transport required for its exhibition.

Applications and purpose of the model

The industrial engineering model designed for Intrame has a well-defined purpose: to be a visual and technical tool that allows you to effectively communicate the capabilities and details of your asphalt plants. By incorporating every element with precision and realism, this model is ideal for use at trade shows, sales presentations, and strategic meetings. Its detailed design makes it easy for anyone, regardless of their technical background, to understand how industrial facilities operate and are structured.

Educational resource

Furthermore, this model is especially useful in the educational field.. Its precise construction, faithful to the technical plans, allows it to be used for training new employees, advanced technical courses, and explanations aimed at different departments within the company. It also becomes a key tool to strengthen interaction with strategic partners, highlighting the most important technical aspects of the plant.

Visual impact

For Intrame, having this model represents a significant advantage, since It allows them to showcase their projects in detail and generate an immediate visual impact. The level of realism and durability ensures that it can be used frequently, either as part of your presentations or as a permanent resource within your facilities.

Conclusion

This industrial engineering model project for Intrame was undoubtedly a project that tested our experience and ability to materialize complex ideas. From the design phase to the final construction, every step was executed with a commitment to to offer a product that met the customer's technical and aesthetic expectations.

We are proud to have collaborated with Intrame on this project and to have contributed a tool that reflects their expertise in the industrial sector. This model is a clear example of how attention to detail and innovation can transform ideas into concrete solutions.
