Architectural model of a modular house

This architectural model of a modular house is manufactured to a 1:50 scale and realistically reproduces both the interior and exterior of a modular home.

We carried out the project on behalf of Eurocasas , who came to us in search of a creative and professional solution to their problem: they wanted to manufacture custom-made house models that could be easily transported to fairs or events, and that allowed people to see the interior of the houses.

We thoroughly analyzed the project with the workshop team and quickly identified two key features to consider:  

An architectural model of a house like this one must be very detailed. It's the marketing image of the final product, so we had to consider using different materials and techniques for its construction.

On the other hand, exhibition models at events are exposed to continuous transport and handling, which can easily damage them.

With this in mind, our team of model makers decided to manufacture the structure of the house using CNC cutting technology, with PVC.

Then, different materials (from textiles to vinyls) are chosen to give a realistic finish to the different surfaces, always seeking to create a specific atmosphere and make the model realistic.

To replicate all the furniture, every piece was custom-made. From the largest items like beds, kitchen furniture, and bathroom fixtures, to the smallest details like handles, tablecloths, and paintings.

And finally, we found a unique two-part solution that proved to be a complete success in protecting the model and offering a better experience for the end customer. We created a retractable roof that allows a view of the interior of the house, and we manufactured a translucent dome to protect the interior.

We are very happy with the final result. Building architectural models of modular homes has given us the opportunity to delve into the small details that transform a house into a home.
