On this occasion we were commissioned to create a conceptual civil engineering model, at a scale of 1:5000, to highlight the urban engineering of the city of Barcelona as a whole.

This time, our goal wasn't to create a realistic, highly detailed model, but rather a cohesive piece. A conceptual model that would allow us to highlight and showcase the most emblematic buildings in the city's historic center.

Our client, the events agency 4foreverything, She was in charge of organizing and creating the entire atmosphere for the Smart Cities event held in Barcelona, which featured major brands from various related sectors.

Our task was to manufacture a vertical scale model for the car brand SEAT. We had a very tight deadline, a size of 6x2 meters, and faced challenges in both its transport and installation.

Our team, which is used to making architectural and civil engineering models using CNC cutting and additive manufacturing, usually puts all its effort and attention into the details and landscaping, but this time, we had to find a mixed solution.

Most of the buildings had to be conceptual, so they were made of extruded polystyrene, custom-modeled according to the plan for each building. 

And for those iconic buildings that are a symbol of the city's identity, we use 3D printing.

As the final step of the project, we handled the transport and vertical installation at the trade fair, supporting our client until the final project delivery.

The final result was a truly striking conceptual model of civil and urban engineering, which became the center of attention.
