This collaborative effort allowed us to faithfully represent the Titanic, respecting its design and preserving its symbolism.
Design and planning: The first step in building a replica of the Titanic
The design of this replica of the Titanic was a job that required dedication and attention to detail from the very beginning. We didn't have any original plans, so we had to create them from scratch based on the historical documentation provided by the client.. Photographs, diagrams, and technical descriptions became the main sources for accurately recreating the proportions and characteristics of the ship.
Every line and measurement of the plan was meticulously developed to fit the final dimensions of the model, ensuring that each section of the model faithfully reflected the original structure of the Titanic. Our collaboration with Musealia was fundamental to ensuring that the model met the quality and authenticity standards required for an exhibition of this scale. We worked in close coordination with their team to integrate the replica into the exhibition's narrative, ensuring that every detail contributed to a deeper understanding of the Titanic's story.
